Focus Better with the Pomodoro Technique (and a Minimalist Timer to Match)

If you’ve ever struggled with distractions, long to-do lists, or the feeling that your day just “disappeared” — you’re not alone.

One of the most effective tools I’ve found for staying focused is the Pomodoro Technique.

Pomodoro

What is the Pomodoro Technique?

It’s a simple productivity method where you:

  • Work for 25 minutes
  • Take a 5-minute break

After 4 cycles, take a longer break (15–30 minutes). That’s it. No fancy system, no overthinking.

It works because it creates urgency, reduces burnout, and trains your brain to focus in short, powerful bursts.

The Problem with Most Pomodoro Apps

Most Pomodoro apps are packed with features: task lists, stats, reminders, settings, themes… It’s ironic — tools meant to reduce distraction often become a source of distraction themselves.

That’s why I decided to build my own.

A One-Button Pomodoro App — and Nothing Else

We created a super minimal Pomodoro timer:

  1. One button
  2. One timer
  3. No login
  4. No data tracking
  5. No bloat

Just press Start and focus.

It’s free to use, runs in your browser, and doesn’t save anything between sessions — because sometimes, simplicity is the best productivity tool.

Conclusion

In a world full of noisy tools and complex workflows, sometimes all you need is a quiet, focused timer to help you do your best work. Our minimalist Pomodoro app was built with that in mind — simple, distraction-free, and ready to use.

Give it a try. It might just become your favorite way to focus.
